Rich Dad Power Investing Plan

Rich Dad’s Power Investing ...
a plan for people who want to afford anything they want. This is the basic plan that the richest investors in the world follow. The Rich Dad’s Power Investing Plan consists of, starting a business, investing the cash flow from the business into real estate, and then balancing your asset classes with investing your excess cash flow in paper assets.

ASSET #1: BUSINESS
Your own personal business is by far your best asset because, if successful, you can generate the most income with less work and with the least taxes.
The drawback: Of course, if you are not successful in building a profitable business, a business can be a very big liability and loss of money, which is why we often recommend starting a part-time business before quitting your daytime job.

Accelerator #1: Other People’s Money
The first accelerator in starting a business is to use other people’s money. As you become a better businessperson, this will become easier because investors like winners.

Accelerator #2: Entity Selection
Choosing the proper entity in which to hold your business is critical. You absolutely do NOT want to hold your business as a sole proprietorship or general partnership.
Review the various requirements and benefits of a C Corporation, S Corporation, Limited Liability Company (LLC), or Limited Partnership (LP) with your attorney and tax advisor to see which entity will provide the best protection for your business and result in the best tax advantages, thus maximizing your cash flow.

Accelerator #3: Other People’s Time
If you are a good business owner, you have the leverage of other people and systems doing your work. In other words, if you are a good businessperson, it is the same as earning money for nothing, once the business is up and running. Most people will have to work for money for much of their lives because they work for a business rather than work to build a business.

Accelerator #4: Tax Laws
The taxman is on your side as a business owner. Review Chapter 5 of the book Rich Dad’s Who Took My Money on how the tax laws were written to benefit business owners and investors.

Accelerator #5: Charity
My rich dad always reminded me of the saying, “Give and you shall receive.” Being generous and giving back to the community are essential elements in growing your business. You may not know how the returns on your charitable giving will be realized, but they will be. The more people you serve, the richer you will become.

ASSET #2: REAL ESTATE

Accelerator #6: Other People’s Money
My banker is on my side for investing in real estate.

Accelerator #7: Entity Selection
Entity selection is again critical in understanding the secrets and strategies that the rich have used for generations to protect their real estate assets.

Accelerator #8: Tax Laws - Depreciation and Real Estate Paper Losses
The tax man offers great accelerators in your real estate income and cash flow in the form of depreciation. You will want to get competent advice from your tax strategist, as the choice may also be important based on your state/local laws.

ASSET #3: PAPER ASSETS

Accelerator #9: Tax-Exempt
The tax man offers even greater leveraged advantages to investors who invest in projects the government needs financial assistance in.

Accelerator #10 – Hedge Funds
Hedge funds allow me to invest with insurance. They have the benefits offered by mutual funds in that they are “easy,” but without the downside risk. There are many different hedge fund strategies but their primary goal is to reduce volatility and risk while preserving their investors’ capital and delivering positive returns under all market conditions.

Accelerator #11 – Options
Investing in stock options allows me to leverage my investments in paper assets. Instead of buying the stock I can still control it through the purchase of options for a fraction of the cost.

Accelerator #12: PPMs (Private Placement Memorandums)
A private placement memorandum, however, is an offering of stock in a company that is exempt from federal registration. In March 1982, the SEC adopted Regulation D to coordinate the limited offering exemptions and to streamline the existing requirements applicable to private placements and sales of securities. Again, the documentation and legal requirements of this type of investment are critically important. You need competent securities legal advice as well as tax advice to select the funding tool appropriate for your situation.

Accelerator #13: IPOs (Initial Public Offerings)
An initial public offering (IPO) is a company’s first sale of stock to the public. Typically, an IPO involves the stock from a young, new, and not usually well known company. An IPO is highly regulated and costly to prepare, as it requires tremendous legal and accounting professional time.

Money Life Cycle Of The Poor, Middle Class and Wealthy.

Let’s discuss it in a more detailed manner.

1.) Poor – as you can see, immediately after receiving their income, they spend it for all their doodads. These people have lots of stuff in their house even if some of those are not needed.

2.) Middle Class – now this one’s a little different. The middle class thinks that buying something like a house or a car will give them an asset. But according to Rich Dad, “an asset is something that puts money into your pocket.” So they pay the down payment and the monthly dues which in turn becomes a liability because it takes money away from their pocket every month. They thought that they had an asset, but eventually it’s a liability. So the money cycle ends to expenses like in the case of the poor.

3.) Wealthy – this is the operating standard of the Create Abundance Business Community. After receiving the income, they put it on money generating assets and the profit that they acquire from those assets are the one’s they used for their expenses/liabilities. You can observe that among the three, only the Wealthy has the complete cycle. Because they prioritize passive income generating assets. That’s why even if they don’t work, money comes in.

This is one of the life-changing diagrams I’ve ever seen. Before, I had a money cycle of the middle class(at times, poor). But now, I made a solid decision to have the money cycle of the WEALTHY.

I say that if you want a radical change in your financial life, you have to start it with yourself. Its very hard to pass the core team membership. But if you’re a HIGH ACHIVER, I don’t think it can stop you. Instead, it can propel you to a new level of personal growth and success. The challenge is really on for those aspiring members and we want you to take part of it. So the question is, are you in or out?

Scarcity Mentality VS Abundance Mentality

YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN SCARCITY WHEN...

Your friend at work gets a promotion and you find yourself feeling jealous, rather than happy for him.

You see a person driving an expensive car and find yourself feeling resentful or judging her.

You make purchases on credit and live beyond your means, you're dissatisfied with what you have.

You postpone important purchases that would add dramatic value to your life, even when you have the money to make them, because you can't stand to part with your cash.

When your spouse or child asks you to buy something, more often than not your immediate response is that you can't afford it.

You find yourself frequently wishing for a better life, yet you think that it would be futile to strive for something better; there's never enough time and money to do the things you want to do.

You have ideas about how to make your life better, like switching careers or starting your own business, but are afraid to put them into action.

You keep your money in "safe" investments like Time Deposits and money market accounts because you fear losing it.

You pick the riskiest investments, cross your fingers, and hope for high returns, thinking that gambling and luck is your best path to wealth.

YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN ABUNDANCE WHEN...

Your primary focus in life is to lift, serve, and bless the lives of others.

You feel happy when others succeed-even those who may viewed as your competition-and you never feel threatened by others.

You feel satisfied, complete, joyful and calm.

The purchases you make align with your core values.

Your investments are wise; you're not naive, nor are you overly skeptical.
You perform wise, patient research and make an educated decision.

Rather than saying "I can't afford it," you ask, "How can I afford it?"

You consistently overcome fear, through faith and courage, to pursue your dreams and a career that aligns with your passion and purpose.

You're able to work with others to achieve things that you couldn't do alone.

You take responsibility for your life and your work and use your internal strength to overcome all challenges and transcend external circumstances.

What have you done today in your journey towards financial freedom?

What have you done today in your journey towards financial freedom?

Financial freedom is the dreamland of personal finance. It is the freedom to stop working when you want and maintain a lifestyle you desire.

To achieve it, the secret is to have a source, preferably have many sources of passive income. Passive income is earned without your direct involvement. It may come from rental property, stock dividends, royalties on an invention or creative work.

If you want to earn more, work less, and enjoy a decent retirement, you must create income streams that do not require your direct involvement.

To achieve financial freedom, your passive income should be greater than or equal to your expenses.

My journey towards financial freedom started years ago when I noticed that I am not getting ahead in life due to the financial mistakes I was making caused by my antiquated values and mindset which I absorbed through society's conditioning. This is when I said to myself if I want to become wealthy while I'm still young, I need to learn how things really work in the the world of business, finance and money. I started to read books on the subject and enrolled myself in an MBA course. This is a lifelong learning process so I'm continuously educating myself on these matters given the dynamic environment we live in.

I am now putting the things I have learned to practice by starting to buy rental properties. I will also start to actively invest in stocks that will give me regular dividend income hopefully in the next few months.

What have you done today in your journey towards financial freedom?

How to get out of the rat race?

Four Types of Person

There are Four Types of Person regarding Time and Money Freedom:

1) People with no time and money. They have no time because they must devote themselves to work. And they have no money because they have to pay their bills and expenses everytime they receive their salary, leaving them broke every end of the month.

2) People with time but no money. Because they don't have work, they have lots of free time. And because they don't have work, they don't have money.

3) People with no time but with money. These people are strict savers, they don't have time like the # 1 person because of work. But they have money because they save too much.

4) People with time and money. They are called, the wealthy. They have time for their loved ones, and they can do whatever they wish. Because they have passive income, they don't need to work. And its the same reason why they have money, because what they have is multiple streams of passive income..

You can be one of these persons. But you have a choice to change if you don't like your standing. In fact, a lot of people think they are destined to be where they are now. And they never realize that they had choosen to be what they are.

For me, I had choosen to be a number 4 person. And I know I can do it,

The Leader in You

Gratitude, devotion, hard work, and bold action. These words trip easily off the tongue. But they forge the soul of a samurai and lie at the heart of leadership. Practice them, and you will transform your life, as I did.”

“…Cynics may view gratitude, hard work, bold action, and devotion as simplistic notions undeserving of their attention. But observe the world around you. Note that ungrateful people are unhappy people. Note that hard work is the single most important determinant of success in life. Note how luck favors the bold. Note how devotion—to parents, to children, to superiors, to subordinates—benefits the devoted a hundredfold.

“Some may think these simple concepts apply only to followers, not leaders. But those who aspire to lead must first learn to serve. And those who would master others must first master themselves. The principles of leadership therefore apply equally to superiors and subordinates alike

Secret of Gratitude: Leaders must be grateful

Being a leader gives as an opportunity to serve others by showing them how make things happen, making a stand for them and fighting with them to meet their dreams and goals in life. We are grateful to our followers since leading them is an honor and privilege. We learn a lot about anything and grow ourselves faster by being a leader. We learn more about our strengths and weaknesses as our followers became a reflection of ourselves.

Secret of Striving: Leaders must work harder than others

Since we work harder than others we get more, we learn more, we get the best of everything the situation and the circumstance has to offer. All the money and wealth flows to the leader. A leader that works harder get to his/her dreams and goals in life faster.

Secret of Decisiveness: Act boldly at critical moments

Not only the rewards and benefits that goes to the leader but also the responsibilities and obligations. The duty to protect the community, tribe and group comes with the package called leadership. We act boldly in critical moments, we never wait for somebody to take charge. We take all the credits and blames and face all the circumstances of our actions and decisions. No matter what happen, it can be right or wrong what is important that we act and show our people that we are somebody they can rely on.

Secret of Devotion: Dedicate yourself to your leader

A leader must firsts become a follower. A follower gives full devotion to their leader. It really felts overwhelming when a follower expresses his/her devotion to your leadership. For example in our community an apprentice would come to you and say: "I will devote myself in learning everything that is needed to know to be a successful entrepreneur so that I can be of use to the community and humanity, and contribute to our vision and mission" With such powerful declaration of devotion moves and inspires the leaders.

I clearly remember when i went to my mentor and said: I will work hard and smart in order to make your business organization big and strong. As i keep that declaration and put it in action I realized that I became a leader in the process. Leading people inside my mentors organization therefore making my organizations big and strong as well.

DREAM BIG!!!

Remember when you were a kid and felt you could set the world on fire? Millionaire? Sure. Hollywood star? Of course! Astronaut? Easy. Best-selling author? No problem. World traveler? Start packing.

So what happened? Where are you now? Are you living the life you thought you'd lead? Unfortunately, life has a way of knocking the stuffing out of our highest hopes and biggest dreams...if we let it! Most people have lost the sparkle in their eye and the fire in their heart. They've lost their passion and allowed their lives to become a faint glimmer of the vibrant vision they once had for themselves. They've committed the great sin of the spirit and settled for a life of mediocrity.

The main reason most of us lose our dreams is not because our desire has waned, but because of fear. "I don't have the money, I don't have the time, it's too late, I don't know for sure if I can do it." All of these reasons are nothing but the excuses of a fear and lack based protective mind. There is a saying in life, that we either have "reasons or results."

It's time to take back your power; time to think big once again; time to rekindle your greatest dreams. Dreams that excite you, dreams that impassion you, dreams that force you to break the bonds of "mediocrity"; reach your fullest potential and become the "ultimate you."

The Power of Intuition

Have you ever had a "gut" feeling and not listened? Most likely it cost you "big time." Ours is a culture that has not yet given full credence to the inherent wisdom of our spiritual nature. The fact is we have a source of intelligence within us that most of us seldom use; it's known as our intuition. Intuition is a sixth sense that seems directly connected to the creative intelligence of the Universe.

The information comes to us generally in a feeling rather than a logical, "figure it out" type thinking process. Some people call it our instinct. Others call it a "gut" feeling. Either way, if you're not utilizing this incredibly powerful inner guidance system, that is at your service 24 hours a day, you are operating in life with "one hand tied behind your back."

The key to "tapping in" is to get your "chatter box" mind to quiet down. You can do this by meditating or simply focusing on the present moment. Once the mind is quiet, wisdom can come through. The idea is to "let go" of your normal thinking process, in fact to "stop thinking". It may sound strange, but you've probably experienced this difficult to explain phenomena during a time when you were trying to remember something but couldn't. Finally, you stopped trying to "figure it out" and later, out of the blue, the answer popped into your head.

Your spirit knows what's right for you. It knows what directions you need to take for your highest good and the good of others. Although your analytical mind is a magnificent tool, when it comes to the key decisions of your life, it pales in comparison to the inner wisdom of your "intuition".

I began to ponder on myself what really is this phrase all about. After exchanging thoughts with my wife I slowly began to understand what this phrase means.

Things that Impresses me:

2. How will I appear or how will other people see me. (Avoiding Looking Bad)
3. Titles,Prestige, Awards, Status Symbols. (Deserveness and Entitlement)

Two Primary Types of Income

Linear Income

This type of income is what you get when you trade time and effort for money. 90% of people from around the world have this kind of income. Other terms for this are: paycheck, salary, “sahod”, “sweldo”, among others. You receive this income based on how much work you do regardless of the outcome. Usually, the amount of work done is measured in the number of hours per week (normally 40 hours per week minimum). There’s nothing wrong with this type of income. However, it is a limited income. You only earn as long as you have time (and there are only 24 hours a day and only one of you).

Groups of people who fall into this Income Type:

1. Employees – employees receive a salary every month (normally every 15th and 30th of the month). Sure enough when an employee stops working he/she stops getting a salary

2. Real Estate Brokers/Agents – these people get a commission for every property that they sell. Technically speaking they are not paid based on the amount of work that they do but on the number of properties that they sell. But what makes this group earn a linear income is that when they stop selling properties, they also stop earning.

3. Salespeople – same as the real estate brokers/agents

4. Professionals – Experts in their fields are in this group (such as doctors, lawyers, dentists, architects, engineers, etc). These are the people who take Phd’s, Master’s Degrees, MBA’s and other higher courses. They constantly improve their knowledge in their respective fields such that they will be hired either as highly paid employees (whose income is derived from salary) or as consultants. As consultants they are paid by the hour, the rate depends on the degree of expertise they offer. When I was at UP most of my classmates dreamed of becoming such because as they say even when a consultant answers the phone he gets paid for the minutes he spend talking to the client. As with the other groups when a professional stops working, he/she also stops earning.

5. Small business owners – These people believe they are entrepreneurs because they own a business (?). However, what they do not realize is that the business owns them. Why? Because they are the system of the business; when they leave for a vacation or get sick, the business slows down, or worse falls apart (thus their income stops). Owners of small businesses have no (financial) capability to hire a CEO to run their business. However when I say “small” business, I don’t mean the size of the assets or the capital, what I mean is the size of the system. Small businesses don’t have a good system in place such that they demand too much time from the owner/s. Although it’s good to start with a small business, the problem lies in the fact that having a small business and being called the President of your own business is addicting such that you can’t delegate the management to another and thus you forever are the employee of “your” business.

Leveraged Income Or Passive Income

Leveraged or Passive Income, on the other hand, comes to you, even if you don’t do anything, forever. Who falls into this income type? – The Wealthy. They do this by building real businesses. The people in this category have at least 500 people either working for them (as employees) or working with them (as partners). That is the very reason why it’s called leveraged income – they leverage it. Then the Wealthy put their excessive leveraged or passive income to Strategic Investments where they earn more and more passive income.

The Wealthy started building their leveraged or passive income by growing their network instead of growing their expertise. While “Bright Kids” collect diplomas and certificates from Seminars, the Rich Kids collect business cards and build relationships. They know that later on in their quest for Wealth, these relationships will be a big factor.

Henry Ford: “I have a row of electric push-buttons on my desk, and by pushing the right button, I can summon to my aid men who can answer any question I desire to ask… Now, will you kindly tell me, why I should clutter up my mind with general knowledge, for the purpose of being able to answer questions, when I have men around me who can supply any knowledge I require?”

Analysis Paralysis

There's a term used in business called 'Analysis Paralysis' where people tend to over-analyse a certain situation or an opportunity to death and in the end they fail to take any action. The same is true with financial education.

We can read and learn all the self-help materials in the world but acquiring this knowledge is just the first step. Eventually you have to take some action to put these new found knowledge into practice if you want to achieve your dream of financial independence, or becoming a millionaire.

When an opportunity presents itself (such as a new business opportunity, a real estate bargain, etc), due diligence must be exercised to ensure that the financial numbers add up and all the other factors are generally favourable to determine if the opportunity is worth pursuing. However some people are somewhat paralysed to go beyond the analysis stage for fear of failure or fear of the unknown.

One thing that we need to acknowledge in life is there's always risk with most opportunities. Most of the time you can only mitigate or reduce the risk (through financial education, research, insurance, escape clauses in contracts, etc) but you cannot totally eliminate it.

The British SAS (Special Forces of the British Army) has the motto 'Who Dares Win'. I think this motto is also applicable in the world of business and wealth creation. Staying within your comfort zone will definitely not make you a millionaire. You have been doing that all your life and you know exactly what happens when you stay within your comfort zone.

Mind you, I'm not advocating a foolhardy and brazen approach here. You still have to do your due diligence with any opportunity but at the end of the day, make the leap of faith and go for it! Life is too short to wonder the rest of your life on what might have been!

Awaken The Giant Within You

our True Size Is Measured By Your Courage, Wisdom, and Love.

Even as a baby elephant, Bulig was big.

As Bulig grew up, he was taller and bigger than all his playmates.

It didn’t take long for the other elephant to be afraid of him. And Bulig knew this. So he used his size to terrify others to do what he wanted them to do.

He’d snort and growl as he’d say, “I’ll crush you!” It was his usual greeting to anyone he met on the road.

Obviously, if the other elephants were scared of Bulig, the other smaller animals would be as well. Monkeys, deers, tigers, and even lions stood in awe at the huge animal.

The elephants gave him a special home on top of a small hill. And Bulig’s throne was a gigantic bed. There he lay down and lorded it over the jungle.

Each morning, the elephants would give him a basketful of bananas. And the monkeys would give him a basketful of apples. And the deer would give him a basketful of nuts. This happened everyday.

So Bulig grew even bigger. And the more he grew, the more terrified the animals became of him.

He now became a god to all the animals there.

A group of pelicans took turns fanning him.

A group of parakeets sang to him in the morning.

A group of monkey acrobats performed for his evening entertainment.

For the longest time, Bulig never much left his home.

In fact, for years, he didn’t even stand up from his giant bed.

All he really did was snort and growl once in awhile, “I will crush you!” And every time he said it, all the animals would be terrified.

Because he didn’t move much, he became as fat as ten elephants put together!

Now, even other animals from other jungles would visit to see for themselves if the Legend of the Giant Elephant was true. And all of them would stand in terror at the sight of the great beast.

One of those animals was a tiny turtle by the name Pokito.

Pokito heard about this Elephant and wanted to see him.

Being a young and playful turtle, he thought it would be great to be friends with the giant elephant.

So one day, he walked up to Bulig who was like a mountain compared to Pokito. But Pokito wasn’t afraid.

He said, “Hi great Bulig! Can I be your friend?”

All the animals around Bulig gasped in horror. Who dared speak to Bulig in that way? Does he know what he was saying? Poor turtle!

Bulig was insulted that a little creature was not worshipping him as a god. So he snorted and growled his usual growl and said, “I will crush you!”

But Pokito was a wise turtle. He saw that behind Bulig’s size was great weakness. He felt pity for him. So he simply said, “Bulig, I just want to be your friend. If you don’t want to, that’s fine. I’ll just go on my merry way…”

As he turned around, Bulig got even angrier and snorted and growled again and said in a bigger voice, “I WILL CRUSH YOU!”

All the animals scampered behind bushes, rocks, and trees. It was the first time they heard Bulig this angry.

Pokito turned around to face the giant again and said calmly, “Bulig, I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You might hurt yourself…”

Bulig’s face turned red as a fire truck.

He stood up. Or at least tried to.

Remember, it has been years since he even stood up!

“Ummph… Ummmph…. Ummmmmmmph!” Bulig struggled and struggled but couldn’t stand up!

“Bulig, please don’t do that…” Pokito said.

All the animals left their hiding places. They were totally shocked to see their god having difficulty standing up!

Finally, Bulig’s legs folded and he came crashing to the ground. Whaaam!

Bulig was now in pain, but his humiliation was even greater than any physical pain he was feeling at that moment.

First, a little monkey began to jeer.

Soon, other monkeys joined him.

And after awhile, all the animals began to ridicule Bulig. They taunted him and called him names. “Weakling!”, “Fatso!”, and “Blubberhouse!”

That was when Pokito screamed, “Stooooooooop it!”

Everyone hushed at the brave turtle in front of them.

“For years, you worshipped Bulig as a god,” Pokito said, “but now, you’re insulting him as the enemy. Why are you doing that? Bulig is just one of us, just like any other animal.”

Pokito marched to the embarrassed, whimpering Bulig and said, “Do you need help to stand up?” Sheepishly, Bulig nodded his head.

The turtle turned to the other elephants, “Help your friend stand up.”

The other elephants were astounded by the wisdom of the little turtle. All of them went beside the giant, and together, pushed him up.

With great effort, the huge elephant stood up.

With his knees still trembling, Bulig smiled at the turtle and quietly said, “Thank you. You are the real giant.”

Pokito smiled. “Thank you.”

Bulig asked, “Can you be my friend?”

The turtle said, “On one condition. You have to join me in jogging every morning.” He winked.

And all the animals broke out in laughter.

7 Lessons for Life

I wrote this little story for Mustard, our children’s magazine. (Why Mustard? From mustard seed! If you want to subscribe and get 10 fun-filled issues for your kids, log on at www.shepherdsvoice.com.ph )

But the powerful lessons in the story aren’t for children only.

In fact, I believe adults need to hear them more than kids do!

Here are the 7 life-changing lessons from the story:

Lesson #1:

Don’t look for worshippers; Look for true friends instead.

Not all friends are created equal. Some friends are just fans. They admire you. They flatter you. They fear you. They benefit from you. But when you need them, they’re not there. Choose true friends over fans anytime. When you have a problem, they’ll stick there by your side.

Lesson #2:

The best way to look for a true friend is to be one.

Are you a true friend? Do you care for people? Do you go out of your way to express your love for them? The best investment you’ll ever make will be in your relationships. There lies your true gold.

Lesson #3:

Bullies are weak. Avoid them or face up to them,

but never be afraid of them.

Do you have bullies in your life? You’ll always cross paths with bullies. Bullies intimidate people. Bullies want you to fear them. They manipulate you to follow them. Depending on the situation, you can avoid them or face up to them. But never be afraid of bullies. Because all bullies are fake. With their outward force, they cover up their weakness. But deep within, a bully is a fragile child with lots of fears.

Lesson #4:

When someone doesn’t like to be your friend,

just walk off and go on your merry way.

Life is too beautiful to be sad at one person’s rejection.

People-pleasers want to please everyone. And when one person rejects them, they die within. Because people-pleasers need to be needed. When a person rejects them, they get hurt deeply—and carry this hurt wherever they go and allow this hurt to affect their lives forever. What does a mature person do when they receive rejection? They get hurt like everyone else but they don’t carry the hurt. They shake the dust of their feet and move on. They love themselves. They love life.

Lesson #5:

When someone is angry with you in an unjust way, pity that person.

He will be hurting himself.

Don’t pity yourself when you suffer unjust anger. Remember that unjust anger destroys the person who is angry, not you. Pity him.

Lesson #6:

Always be good and kind to everyone—

whether he be a king or a beggar.

Every human being you meet in life is God’s child. Whether he sits on a throne or lies on the mud, it makes no difference. That person is your family.

Lesson #7:

Your true size is measured by your courage, wisdom, and love.

Are you a big person? Measure your courage and wisdom. By how you love, you shall know whether you have matured in life or not.

May your dreams come true,

My realization in this article is that  there will always come a time that he/she will have a hardships and from those hardships, that's the time that they'll be needing us the most.

I remember one of the attitudes of the geese ( it also applies to doves ) which i also shared it with teach'r Pat during my first module with her ( we still don't know what's a goose in tagalog, can somebody tell us? ) anyway, do you wonder why whenever they fly, they always form the "V" formation? it's because it reduces 71 % of air resistance ( people who share the common direction and has a sense of community, gets where they're going more quickly) And whenever the leader gets tired, another bird next to him substitues for him to give a chance to lead others. While the geese behind honk to encourage up in front to keep up their speed. And finally whenever a goose gets sick, or wounded by gunfire and fall out, two other geese fall out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with that goose until it is either able to fly again or dead. And they launch on their own or with another formation to catch up on their group. ( If we have a sense of goose, we will stand by each other like that.. )

Act In spite of your mood. by T Harv Eker

“I don’t ‘feel’ like it”, is a common chant we often say to ourselves or to others when we’re tired, not in the mood, or simply procrastinating. No doubt feelings are important and need to be acknowledged, yet at the same time, they often prevent us from taking the action we need to take, at the time we need to take it. Consequently, in the end, because we didn’t do what we needed to do, we tend to feel worse.

It takes courage to act regardless of your current mood. It’s easy to succumb to your feelings. But remember, your feelings come from your thoughts, and you have the power to change your thoughts. When you change your thoughts, you will change the way you feel. Instead of focusing on how you’re not in the mood, focus on the benefit of completing whatever needs to get done. Focus on how you’ll feel when you’re finished and how proud you’ll be of yourself for acting in spite of not being in the perfect mood.

Utilize the “law of momentum” which states that, “A body at rest tends to remain at rest while a body in motion tends to remain in motion”. In short, get into motion! Remember, moods are a product of the “mind”. The trick is simple: don’t think, just do it! Train yourself to “get started” even if you’re not in the mood. Moods tend to quickly dissipate once you’re in action.

Whenever you don’t “feel” like it, check in with your current thoughts. What are you thinking that is resulting in this feeling? Then simply change your thoughts. Remember, action generally comes from your higher self, the part of you that is for growth and expansion. Inaction generally comes from your protective mind, the part of you that tries to keep you stuck in your comfort zone. When you act in spite of your mood, you are choosing to manage and control your mind instead of letting it control you!

So the next time you’re not feeling “in the mood”, either change your thinking or simply say to your mind, “thank you for sharing”. Then focus on only taking the very first step to get started, then take another, and another. One step at a time until the law of momentum kicks in. By then, chances are you’ll forget all about not being “in the mood”, and will be well on your way to completing whatever it was you needed to do…and feeling great about it!

Change is Good!

Since the ego, or protective mind's job is survival, it will always prefer safety and security over the untested and unproven. It likes to keep things the same. It has us believe "the devil I know, is better than the devil I don't know." In short, "if I stay with what I know and what is familiar, I won't get hurt." This belief system is simply not true and goes directly against the laws of nature.

Most people are not totally happy and successful, yet they continue to do the same things over and over hoping someday things will be different. Realize if what you've been looking for was where you've been looking, chances are you'd have already found it! Doing more of the same even harder and longer is not usually the answer. Being willing to change will usually create better results.

Since your inner world creates your outer world, one of the first steps in change, is changing your thoughts. By examining the way you talk to yourself and your beliefs around success, money and prosperity, you are in a position to consciously change any thoughts that are based in lack, fear and limitation. Because what you focus on expands, by intentionally thinking of prosperity, abundance and success you will attract those very things.

Change is natural. The universe is in constant motion, from the changing of the seasons; to the way plants, trees and flowers grow; from the rushing of the rivers, to the wind that blows. Life is always moving, always changing. In fact, the only constant in the world, the only thing you can absolutely count on, is change itself.

Therefore, utilize every change as a gift. Whenever change occurs, ask yourself "how can I use this change to my benefit?" If you lose your job, know that a new and better opportunity awaits you. If you lose a relationship, know that a new and better relationship awaits you.

The happiest and most successful people all share a critical characteristic - the trait of adaptability. Which means they have the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and circumstances. The idea then is to go with the flow and not only accept change, but embrace it as an opportunity to expand yourself and your life.

Have you ever thought about the word “winning”, and what it means to you?

For most of us, the word “winning”, is a very simple concept. You create a goal, and when you achieve it, you’ve won.

Well, there’s actually much more to it then that, because your subconscious mind has it’s own definition for “winning”, and whether you like it or not, you and your entire life are run by this little bugger.

If your subconscious doesn’t want you to “win” when it comes to wealth and money, you’re not going to. Period.

By definition, your subconscious thoughts and its agenda for your life are hidden from you, unless you’ve trained yourself to communicate with it.

If you don’t know what its definition of “winning” is for you right now, how can you ever move forward? And that’s the point on this letter… We’re going to find out what “winning” means to your subconscious right now…

There are 5 ways for you to win...

1: You win when you’re comfortable. This person’s primary goal is to just go through life as comfortably as possible. They don’t want stress. They don’t want to be pushed or challenged. They don’t like conflict. The just want to go through life on cruise control, hanging out with their friends, and having a good time.

Everything they do is designed to support their pursuit of comfort.

This is your average, life-long employee who’s more than happy to have a safe, stable, comfortable job.

If you push this person away from that goal, and challenge them or their routine lifestyle, watch out.

2: You win by being liked. This person’s primary goal in life is to be liked by others. They want acceptance from everyone, and will do just about anything to reach that goal. They’d rather be liked, than be right or wrong.

When you put someone like this in a leadership role, the business will usually fail because they won’t be willing to make hard decisions that would anger someone. They would try to please everyone all the time because their ultimate motivation is to be liked by others.

3: You win by being right. This person is usually an expert in a specific field like a professor, lawyer, or a wife. (Just kidding ladies! ?). People who win by being right, don’t accept criticism and aren’t open to new ideas.

They tend to reach a glass ceiling when it comes to money, their career, and relationships, because they can’t accept their short-comings in order to move past them and achieve personal growth. Arguing with this person never works because they’ll always find a way to prove you wrong, even if it means sabotaging your company in the process.

In order to win, this person must be right.

4: You win by winning. This person is an achiever. Their primary motivation is to win. They are very competitive, and will do whatever it takes to win. They won’t quit, and they’ll constantly push themselves to gain the edge they need.

This category describes all successful entrepreneurs and athletes. Winning is their reward, and on the dark side, some of them will go too far and compromise their integrity in order to do so. Key Lay of Enron is a great example.

This type of person doesn’t care if others don’t like them, and they welcome discomfort because it provides them with new opportunities to win.

5: You win by losing. This person wins by being a victim. They want sympathy from others or their spouse. Just when things start to get better, they will sabotage themselves, and say, “I knew it wouldn’t work”, giving them their victory once again.

There lives are always filled with problems because they don’t win unless they lose, so they create circumstances and excuses that help them fulfill that destiny like, “Your book won’t teach me anything new. I don’t have the money. This is just another scam. I’ll give it a try…”

There are people who are not wealthy because they want to be comfortable. There are people who are not healthy because they want to be comfortable. There are people who are stuck in the same job without a promotion for 10 years because they want to be liked. There are people who are addicted to struggle because they win by losing.

And most likely, you see a little of yourself in each of these categories.
I know I do, but what’s important to remember, is that winning is a continuous process that is brought to an end once you’ve won, which is an event.

As soon as you’ve “won”, the process starts all over again.

You are not a victim or a prisoner of your subconscious. You can control it. You can train it to achieve new goals.

You have complete power over every aspect of your life and you can reinvent yourself, and the way you win at any time, but it’s a process that will require complete dedication.

Living your Life

Why are you here? Why are you on the planet right now? Many people believe we each come into this life with a purpose, a reason for living. Considering that every element in nature has a specific purpose for existing, and we are an integral part of nature, it stands to reason that we have a purpose too.

Eastern philosophies submit that each of us has a job to do, a duty in life, and that the only way to find peace and fulfillment is to carry out your duty or "dharma" as it's called. The philosophy states that to truly be happy you must learn to live in service, to live based on what you can give rather than only on what you can get; to live based "on purpose" rather than only "on outcome".

The brilliant futurist, Buckminster Fuller said, "The purpose of our lives is to add value to the people of this generation and those that follow." In short, to leave this world a better place than it was when you arrived. It could be in terms of adding convenience, education, entertainment, enlightenment, health, beauty, joy, humour, technology, or any other way you personally can serve other people or the planet.

Although many people believe they have a purpose, they often have a difficult time discovering their own reason for living. Because purpose holds such a spiritual sense, people tend to believe their purpose will somehow be handed down from the heavens. They wait and wait for some "burning bush" to tell them what to do. It's true, a few "tuned-in" people do receive some type of message; some unmistakable calling. But the answer for most of us is that we actually have to "choose" our purpose. We are the ones who decide how we are best suited to serve.

Our choice, however, is not random. We each have unique abilities, inherent talents and strengths. We each have different interests and activities that bring us joy. We each have different experiences and issues from which we've learned, and we all have a different way in which we can best serve others. It is through these factors you "choose" your purpose.

Can your purpose change? Yes. More likely, however, is that your overall purpose remains the same, while the vehicle you use to provide your service may change on an ongoing basis. If your purpose is to teach, for example, you may teach your own children, teach in a school, become an author or a speaker or even be a consultant. Regardless of your vehicle, your dharma is to "teach".

It takes courage to choose a purpose and even more courage to live your life based on it! Once you have purpose, you will have two essential elements for a truly happy life - money and meaning! In this way, you will become 'rich' in every sense of the word.
